Hi Andie,
I have a few makeup concerns. I know to use brushes when applying makeup but how do I get that celebrity makeup look? I really am at a loss with my eyebrows...How can I get them back in shape? And when I apply eyeliner it tends to disappear throughout the day...any suggestions as to how I can get it to last all day?

Hey Nicole,
I love that you use brushes...such an important part of makeup. In my opinion the tools you use is far more important then the actual makeup. I think this because I use the same brush set no matter what makeup I'm doing but depending on the shoot I often have the makeup provided by the client trying to push their products. The end result is always the same...flawless clean makeup.
To get celebrity makeup you need photo shop. Honestly to get flawless makeup you need flawless skin. Take care of your skin...I'm talking spf everyday lady. Moisturize the hell out of your skin especially now that it's freezing outside. Don't forget the lips...I put on a lip balm every night before bed, if I wake up in the middle of the night I put more on and when I get out of the shower in the morning...you guess it...even more. I cannot tell you how many models I've worked with that have amazing skin but their lips are a train wreck. Once your skin is flawless the makeup part is becomes so much easier.
Brows are tricky. Next time you see someone with brows that you absolutely love ask them who does their brows. Go to that person with a picture of the brows you want. Once you have them shaped professionally you should be able to keep that up on your own with tweezers (I really dislike when people wax my brows so I only tweeze but go with what you're comfortable doing). Having well manicured brows is worth a little extra money...they frame your face. I use a brow pencil from Estee that I swear by. Swing by their counter next time you're at the mall and try it out (you don't have to purchase it then...just "test drive" it...I recommend doing this with all makeup...if you want to try something try it...don't feel pressured to purchase it then...just get the sales associates name and ask for her if you decide to make a purchase).
To get eyeliner to stay better make sure your eyelids aren't greasy or slick when you apply it. Also once you apply the liner tap a matching eyeshadow on top to "set" it. Kind of the same concept of setting foundation with powder. :)
Hope my rambling helped a little. If you have ANY other makeup questions (ever) ask me. I'm not kidding if you read about a new trend or product or technique shoot me an email. I can let you know my opinion. :)
