2009 had many great experiences and learning lessons for me and my career. I realize that making it as an artist in such a competitive industry is going to take more then pure talent. I'm going to need to get my ass out there hitting the ground everyday. With that said I am making a vow to myself to get out there and do something EVERYDAY to enhance my career. I am going to knock on doors, test with incredible photographers, find out who's who in the Tampa market, and get a conservative job so I can continue to chase my dreams and support myself. I fought this through out 2009 and refused to get a job that wasn't makeup. A good friend of mine Guzman is chasing her dreams as a fashion designer and busts her ass everyday not only on the design and hustle front but also as a bartender and she also works for an airline. I need to be doing this. She inspires me.
With that said I will make an effort to update this blog as a way to hold myself accountable for what I am doing to further my career and life.
Today I have a meeting with the photographer Janelle L. to discuss a few upcoming projects we are planning. We both are determined to make 2010 our year and will be submitting the work we do.
Tomorrow I have a photo shoot in Orlando with photographer Jon C...I've worked with him in the past and hope we can pull off a great shoot. On Wednesday I'm shooting an escort with photographer Meeshee (that's her major market...it's funny so many little niches in this industry)...it's the second part of this photo shoot. Thursday I am supposed to be doing makeup application for a few girls for NYE.
