Swim!

So I've been in Miami for the past 4 days and it has been an absolute blast! I have been surrounded by artist I admire and inspire to be like when I grow up...James Vincent (www.jamesvincentmakeup.net), Orlando Santiago (www.beautybyorlando.com), Roshar Sandage (www.roshar.com)...seriously need to be pinched right now.

James doing a demo for the True Religion show.

Makeup I did for the show...

The art of eyebrows.

Would you hang a Dali without a frame? I wouldn’t. Think of your face as your canvas. When doing your makeup think of it as painting your masterpiece. You should not be ignoring your natural frames. Your eyebrows are these frames. They should be treated as so. Take the time to keep your brows in nice shape with plucking, waxing, threading…whatever method you are inclined to use…just do it with regularity. Incorporate an eyebrow product into your makeup kit. I highly recommend the Anastasia Beverly Hills line. They specialize in eyebrows and they have perfected their products light years beyond most brands (you can pick up some of their products at Sephora…their entire line is offered on their website). Once you find the right product for your needs practice, practice, practice. Use little strokes when applying products mocking your natural hair growth pattern. Start with a little and build on that. Play around with manipulating the shape with your product (it’s only makeup…if you mess it up was it off and start again). Taking the time to incorporate your eyebrows into your everyday makeup routine will dramatically enhance your final result.

wooloot

The Wooloot shoot was excellent. An awesome company run by a really fantastic family. We shot at Studio 75 in Largo with photographer Dan Gaye. Here are a few behind the scenes snaps. :)

Not much makeup booked until the end of the week.

I have signed on with the Make Up For Ever Alliance as an artist for this event. I will be working under key makeup artist James Vincent (www.jamesvincentmakeup.com). He is a dream to work with! I am excited about this event...can you tell??

I have a photo shoot tomorrow with Wootloot. (www.wootloot.com) We are creating marketing material for a few new products they are launching. Should be fun. I get to play with paint. :)

Here are a few photos from the Automatic Loveletter AP Magazine shoot.
